SUMMARY:The Largest Meeting Ground to Accelerate U.S. Broadband Broadband Nation Expo
DESCRIPTION:Gaylord Convention Center\, Washington D.C. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nScreenshot\n\n\n\n\n\nConnecting Rural ISPs and Government: The Role of Broadband Nation Expo\n\n\n\nWith the funding secured\, the BEAD program has entered its bidding phase. State broadband offices are now asking pre-qualification questions of internet service providers (ISPs) and aiming for strong engagement. Large operators are expected to participate\, but the challenge is ensuring that rural ISPs stay competitive. States leading the charge have refined their pre-qualification processes\, and questions remain about when technologies like fixed wireless and satellite are appropriate compared to fiber. Moreover\, collaboration between industry and government will be crucial for building the workforce necessary for these broadband expansions. \n\n\n\nThe Broadband Nation Expo (formerly the U.S. Broadband Summit) aims to bridge this gap. The event brings together over 1\,000 industry and government leaders to discuss how to close the digital divide and bring internet to every home in America. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow BEAD Funding is Changing the Game for ISPs\n\n\n\nAt the heart of the BEAD program is the pre-qualification process that ensures broadband deployment is effective and inclusive. Many states have adopted best practices to streamline ISP participation\, with a focus on encouraging rural engagement alongside large operators. To make these efforts successful\, rural ISPs must not be left behind\, and collaboration between stakeholders is crucial. \n\n\n\nFiber\, Fixed Wireless\, or Satellite: What’s Best?\n\n\n\nWhile fiber remains the gold standard for broadband\, fixed wireless and satellite technologies have their roles. Particularly in hard-to-reach or rural areas\, states must decide when it’s appropriate to allocate funding to non-fiber solutions. By attending Broadband Nation Expo\, participants can gain a deeper understanding of these decisions\, and how they impact different regions of the country. \n\n\n\nBuilding the Workforce: A Shared Responsibility\n\n\n\nA robust broadband workforce is necessary to meet BEAD’s ambitious goals. This involves industry and government collaboration to ensure the workforce is trained and prepared. At Broadband Nation Expo\, government and private leaders will share strategies for building this essential workforce. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin the discussion at Broadband Nation Expo as we work to bridge the digital divide and ensure every American has access to reliable internet.

SUMMARY:Cybersecurity for AI and IoT - Defending the Digital Future Networks
DESCRIPTION:Event Introduction – The World of Connected AI: Securing the Wireless Future \nWelcome to Cybersecurity for AI and IoT – Defending the Digital Future Networks\, organized by the European Chapter of the WCA\, The World of Connected AI. \nAs wireless technologies like Wi-Fi\, Bluetooth\, and 5G connect more devices across industries\, we enter a new era of intelligent\, automated systems driven by AI. \nThe “Connected Everything” world offers immense promise\, but also introduces serious cybersecurity challenges. Each wireless device becomes both a tool for innovation and a potential security risk\, especially as many lack basic protections. The growing Internet of Things (IoT) expands the digital attack surface\, while open airwaves remain vulnerable to threats such as interception and spoofing. \nWith AI and edge computing pushing intelligence closer to devices\, traditional security models no longer suffice. Trust\, privacy\, and resilience must now be built into the very architecture of connected systems. \nCybersecurity isn’t optional; it’s foundational. In a world where data flows continuously and AI operates in real-time\, protecting our wireless future is crucial. \nToday\, we gather innovators\, experts\, and leaders to explore how we can secure the future of connected AI—together\, intelligently\, and wirelessly. \n\n\n \n Moderator and Panel \n \n \n \n \n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Moderator:\nColin Constable\nCo-Founder & CTO at Atsign\n \n\n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Liam Goodman\nCTO at Fidamy \n  \n\n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Steven Trommel\nDirector – Proud Innovations \n\n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Evrim Özsoy\nDirector Of Sales Netsmart Security B.V. \n\n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Alexandra Jorissen\nDirector Business Development\, EMEA – IdentifAI Labs \n\n\n\n \n	\n\n\n\n	Sebastian Avarvarei\nAccomplished Cybersecurity Senior Leader \n\n\n \n \n \n Bio Colin Constable \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n Bio Liam Goodman \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n Bio Steven Trommel \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n Bio Evrim Özsoy \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n Bio Alexandra Jorissen \n \n	\n\n \n \n \n Bio Sebastian Avarvarei \n \n	\n\n \n Registration \n \n \n \n \n\n \n \n \n Register For the Cybersecurity for AI and IoT\, Defending the Digital Future Networks Event \n \n	\n\n\n \n \n \n\nOur Sponsors and Partners

SUMMARY:27th annual What’s Hot 2026
DESCRIPTION:Connected Everything AI is transforming the Industrial Internet of Things.\nFactories now collect and analyze massive amounts of data from machines and sensors. As a result\, manufacturers gain faster insights and smarter operations. \nThe Rise of Intelligent Industrial Systems \nThe Industrial Internet of Things connects equipment\, systems\, and data platforms. Meanwhile\, big data platforms collect real-time information from devices across the factory floor. This data helps teams detect problems early and improve efficiency. AI then analyzes patterns and automates decisions. Consequently\, manufacturers reduce downtime and improve productivity across operations. \n \nHow AI and Data Power Modern Manufacturing\nArtificial intelligence strengthens the value of industrial data. For example\, predictive maintenance detects equipment failures before they occur. As a result\, companies prevent costly downtime and extend machine life. In addition\, AI models learn from operational data and improve continuously. This creates adaptive industrial systems that respond to real conditions. \nMeanwhile\, big data platforms process large volumes of sensor information. They reveal patterns in production\, quality control\, and supply chains. As a result\, managers can make faster\, better decisions. \nThe Role of 5G\, 6G\, and Edge Computing\nHigh-speed connectivity enables the next phase of industrial innovation. 5G networks support fast communication between machines and cloud systems. Edge computing then processes data close to the source. Therefore\, factories gain near real-time insights and faster automation. \nTogether\, connectivity\, AI\, and data analytics form the foundation of Connected Everything. These technologies link machines\, platforms\, and supply chains into intelligent networks. \nIndustry Leaders Discuss the Future\nThese trends will shape the conversation at the 27th Annual Center Stage VC Panel. Industry experts will explore how AI and Connected Everything are transforming industries in 2026. \nThe panel will also examine future opportunities for connected technologies. Speakers will discuss new business models\, evolving supply chains\, and digital customer experiences. \nLooking ahead\, AI-driven connectivity will continue redefining how companies build products\, operate factories\, and compete in the global economy.
