Puneet Sethi joined MaxLinear in 2024 and serves as Senior Vice President, Network Infrastructure and Carrier Business.
In this role, he leads strategic planning, product roadmaps, product development, P and L management, and market strategy for wireless solutions across backhaul and cellular access segments.
Puneet brings over 20 years of experience in wireless and telecommunications, with both technical and leadership roles at companies such as Qualcomm and Mavenir. He has also helped establish multiple startups, including his recent work at Ataya focused on private 5G for manufacturing.
At Mavenir, he served as SVP and GM, leading cloud native RAN solutions across macro, small cell, and private network businesses.
At Qualcomm, he joined as an engineer and advanced to lead the company’s cellular infrastructure SoC business.
Earlier in his career, he held engineering roles across multiple telecom companies, with experience spanning SoC design to cloud native software for wireless access and transport.

As founder of the Smart City Mobility Council, Paul unites experts, leaders, funders, and innovators around practical, proven solutions. The council develops evidence-based strategies that agencies can replicate to improve safety, traffic flow, transit, costs, workforce health, and mobility.
Paul draws on European best practices where data-driven, multi-modal systems and disciplined governance are the norm. He applies these insights to U.S. projects, delivering realistic, integrated solutions tailored to local conditions.
Paul is a regular speaker at conferences and webinars. He holds a Master of Science degree from Twente University, the Netherlands.

Dr. Jeff Yen, a trained physicist, combines scientific expertise with a strong entrepreneurial mindset for business innovation. Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in physics and astrophysics from UC Berkeley and a Ph.D. in physics from Stanford. He has co-authored numerous IEEE papers and is a co-inventor listed on 30 patents worldwide.
