Designed for AI-Powered, Battery-Saving Devices
Wi-Fi 7’s expansion goes far beyond laptops and high-end routers. ABI Research estimates that by 2030, global Wi-Fi chipset shipments will exceed 5.5 billion units, with nearly 2 billion supporting Wi-Fi 7. The rapid growth of IoT is a key factor driving this adoption.
Ceva’s client IP is engineered to support Multi-Link Operation (MLO), including enhanced Multi-Link Single Radio (eMLSR), which delivers ultra-low latency and resilient connections, even in compact, battery-efficient devices. It also supports high-performance features such as 4K QAM modulation and wider channels up to 160 MHz, enabling higher peak throughput where spectrum permits.
For better spectrum use in crowded environments, it includes Multi-Resource Unit scheduling and preamble puncturing. Beamforming and Dual Carrier Modulation extend wireless range, while the Packet Traffic Arbiter (PTA) ensures stable coexistence with Bluetooth and other radios. The IP is also equipped with a full MAC software stack, including WPA3 and China’s WAPI security protocols, and offers backward compatibility with Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E. Its flexible RF interfaces allow seamless integration with partner radios or custom-developed transceivers.

Ceva combines its Wi-Fi 7 IP with its NeuPro NPU family, supporting a wide range of edge AI workloads—from low-power inference for voice and vision to complex generative AI.
